Dr. Manoff is a postdoctoral fellow at CORE, specializing in purpose-driven therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating grief, heartbreak, and major life transitions. He earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles, and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Throughout his career, Dr. Manoff has supported clients across a wide range of settings, from community mental health centers to psychiatric hospitals. His experience includes helping those facing PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use challenges, and relational wounds, with a focus on long-term, evidence-based and relational treatments.
At the heart of Dr. Manoff’s work is the belief that loss, change, and disruption—though deeply painful—can also serve as doorways to growth, meaning, and new beginnings. He works closely with individuals (adults and adolescents), couples, and families, who are moving through profound shifts: divorce, heartbreak, infidelity, graduating into adulthood, mid-life or other lifecycle transitions, or stepping into new roles such as marriage or parenthood.
Dr. Manoff approaches therapy with warmth, attunement, and deep respect for each person’s story. He draws from a multicultural lens, honoring the diverse histories and wisdom his clients bring. His style is both compassionate and purposeful—gently helping clients uncover old patterns, heal relational wounds, and reconnect with their inner courage. He believes in pacing the healing process with care, recognizing that while discomfort is part of growth, it should never be rushed.
Clients often seek Dr. Manoff’s guidance during pivotal life moments when old ways of coping no longer fit, and something new—though not yet fully known—is trying to emerge. Together, he and his clients work to transform heartache and upheaval into deeper self-understanding, resilience, and authentic living. His philosophy is:
Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.
