Cecilia Teppema is a fourth year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology who is completing her advanced clinical training at CORE. She received her master's degree in Clinical Psychology in 2025 from Adler University and holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Cecilia has clinical experiences with clients of all ages in outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.  She works with individuals, couples, and families at CORE.

Cecilia's approach to therapy is  informed by an eclectic set of sources, including objects relations traditions, feminist theory, ego psychology, and the unwavering belief that self-understanding begets a richer, fuller and more honest inner life. She constantly strives to ensure that the therapeutic relationship is a comfortable, egalitarian, and nonjudgmental one, and that cultural and individual differences are not only addressed but actively appreciated.
