Devanshee Parekh is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psy.D. program at The Chicago School. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a minor in Business Studies. She works with and is interested in working with individuals across the lifespan, with diverse identities and backgrounds, and presenting with different problems. Specifically, she is interested in working with survivors of trauma.
Devanshee has worked in a range of clinical settings, like the UIUC Counseling Center as a paraprofessional, where she facilitated mental health workshops for students and provided resources for psychological services. She also interned at a school for children with special needs, where she implemented sensory therapy and structured literacy programs. She was also a research assistant at the Language Acquisition Lab at UIUC and is currently a graduate assistant for the Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute at The Chicago School, where she advocates for mental health through workshops and conferences.
