Julia Giacomin is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Adler University in Chicago with a strong interest in psychological assessment and identity development. She works with clients of all ages from a wide range of cultural backgrounds with a variety of presenting concerns. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she developed a foundation in scientific inquiry and human behavior.
Julia has extensive experience in healthcare, having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Patient Care Technician in both hospital and hospice settings. She also served as an intern with Sunny Days/The List for Us, helping to maintain and expand a national resource database for trans+ individuals. In addition, Julia co-founded Pen Pal Social, an initiative connecting seniors with pen pals to combat loneliness and foster community during the pandemic. Her clinical and research interests center on improving access to affirming, data-informed mental health care through comprehensive psychological assessment.
