She recently completed a therapy practicum at DePaul University Counseling and Psychological Services, where she provides individual psychotherapy to college students navigating concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions.

Kayla approaches therapy from an integrative and relational framework, drawing from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives. She believes psychological wellbeing is shaped by the interaction of biological, psychological, and social factors and values creating a collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients feel supported in exploring their experiences. Her clinical interests include trauma, emotional regulation, identity development, and the connection between physical and mental health, with a particular interest in health psychology and the ways chronic health conditions intersect with emotional wellbeing.
