Dr. Berkowski is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist specializing in sex therapy for couples and individuals, as well as psychological evaluations for adults. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Kalamazoo College and her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy, followed by advanced sex therapy training at Widener University and the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Fellowship through the University of Chicago.

With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Berkowski is uniquely qualified to help clients improve their relationship to intimacy and live in alignment with their values. Her work is LGBTQ+ celebratory and grounded in an anti-racist, trauma-informed, body liberation, and sex-positive framework. She integrates approaches from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and ACT.

Dr. Berkowski also provides strengths-based psychological evaluations for adults seeking clarity around autism, ADHD, and other diagnoses. Her assessments focus on self-discovery and include practical, personalized recommendations to support clients in understanding themselves and moving through life with greater support.

Outside the therapy room, Dr. Berkowski enjoys riding her bikes, obsessing over women’s soccer and the WNBA, and doting on her mischievous dachshund.
